Embark on an exhilarating 50-kilometer journey through the breathtaking landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales. This challenging ultra race features over 1,260 meters of ascent, taking runners through some of the region's most stunning sights. The route includes picturesque locations like Malham Tarn and Buckden Pike, as well as sections of the scenic Dales Way.
Runners will encounter runnable trails intermixed with boggy moorland terrain that requires careful navigation. With GPX files available for 50k, 25k, and 100k routes, participants can choose their own unique method to tackle each mile while adhering strictly to the event rules regarding route choice between checkpoints.
Previously known as The Yorkshire Trod, this self-navigated race offers minimal way markers and limited marshal support. As such, it demands strong map-reading skills and experience navigating fell terrain. Participants must agree to these requirements when registering for the event.
Registration opens on Saturday at 6:00 AM and closes at 7:45 AM with a start time of 8:00 AM sharp. The race includes strict cut-off times, such as vacating CP3 by 2 PM after covering approximately 15.5 miles within six hours.
