Run For Pie 5K & Kids 1 Mile Fun Run

Run For Pie 5K & Kids 1 Mile Fun Run returns to Lisbon, Iowa on September 26th, 2026. The event is hosted by Haiti Committee members of All Saints in Cedar Rapids, St John's in Mt Vernon and St Mary's in Vinton.
Lisbon, a charming small town in Iowa, provides the perfect backdrop for this community race. On race morning, runners will start their journey from Lisbon City Park on South Jackson Street, where they can warm up amidst lush greenery and playground equipment that children will enjoy. The atmosphere is one of warmth and camaraderie as participants prepare to run or walk a flat 5K course.
The Run For Pie event has been running for several years now, benefiting over 4000 students in Haiti. This race not only offers the opportunity to support education but also includes a unique reward: every finisher receives a slice of freshly-baked church-lady apple pie. Top three female and male winners from each age group will even get their choice of home-baked pies to take home.
The course venue is Lisbon City Park, an open space that allows for easy navigation on the chip-timed 5K run/walk path. The race layout includes a water station just before the halfway turnaround point, ensuring runners stay hydrated throughout. The half-mile kids fun run will start and finish at the same location as the main event.
