Run for Sobriety 2026

The 2026 Run for Sobriety is scheduled for October 4th at Noel Booth Elementary School on 35 Ave, Langley, BC. This inclusive race welcomes runners and walkers of all backgrounds to participate in either a 10k or 5k run, with limited spots available per distance.
The event kicks off at precisely 10:00 am under the comfortable autumn skies. Early morning temperatures range from mid to upper teens Celsius, setting an ideal tone for your day ahead. Participants will gather on a firm yet slightly soft surface that promises a smooth running experience despite typical fall conditions.
A looped route ensures easy navigation back to Noel Booth Elementary School as both starting and finishing points. The course offers minimal elevation changes, providing a gentle terrain with strategically placed aid stations for hydration needs. On race morning, attendees can look forward to inspiring speeches before the sharp start at 10:00 am.
Post-race, participants are treated to a complimentary barbecue meal, a 2026 finisher medal, and an R4S branded cookie upon crossing the line. Additionally, each runner receives a 15% discount coupon from New Balance Langley. Early registration (May 4th to June 30th) costs CA$40; prices increase to CA$45 between July 1st and August 31st, and then rise further to CA$50 from September 1st until the race day.
A minimum donation of CA$10 supports either the Canadian Mental Health Association - British Columbia or The Running on Faith Project. Bibs can be collected at New Balance Langley (19950 Willowbrook Dr #1, Langley) between May 2nd and September 12th; race day pick-up is available from 8:45 am to 9:30 am.
This year marks the sixth anniversary of Run for Sobriety in Langley. The event has been a cornerstone of community support since its inception, fostering camaraderie among participants committed to making a difference through awareness and support.
