Join the vibrant community at Surrey Bend Regional Park on September 26, 2026, for the third annual Run for Palestine Vancouver. This heartwarming charity run/walk invites participants of all ages and abilities to either walk a scenic 1 km route or tackle the more challenging 5K course while raising funds for essential humanitarian aid in Palestine. In collaboration with Islamic Relief Canada, this year’s event aims to support two critical initiatives: Phase 2 of last year's Gaza humanitarian response project and the Eye Cataract Surgery Project at the Specialized Eye Hospital in Northern Gaza. Your participation will help provide life-changing cataract surgeries and specialized eye care for vulnerable patients facing preventable blindness. The impact of previous efforts has been significant, with over 9,782 beneficiaries reached through Phase 1 alone, including more than 359 successful cataract surgeries and thousands of medical consultations. Now in its second phase, the project continues to serve those most in need by offering a wide range of ophthalmic services. Your contribution can take many forms – from donating $1,200 CAD for a life-changing cataract surgery or sponsoring an orphan at just $90 per month, to simply participating in the run/walk and enjoying family-friendly activities. The day includes delicious food stalls (available for purchase), a lively bazaar, and entertainment that caters to all ages. Registration opens at 10:00 AM with the race starting promptly at noon. Each participant receives an official RFP Jersey; however, food is not included in your ticket price. All sales are final, ensuring every dollar goes directly toward making a difference. For those interested in sponsoring or setting up a stall during this event, please contact Vanvouver@runforpalestine.com to discuss opportunities and how you can be part of the change. Follow us on Instagram at @runforpalestine.Vancouver for updates and inspiring stories from previous events. Join us for an unforgettable day dedicated to community solidarity, compassion, and hope as we run together towards a brighter future. Stay connected with Run for Palestine Vancouver through our email: Vancouver@runforpalestine.com. Let’s come together on September 26th to make a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.
