Rut Run 5k

This event marks its 7th year, drawing over 300 participants who come together for this beloved tradition. The Rut Run supports local scholarships and raises awareness about conservation efforts in Estes Park. It is a celebration not just of running but also of community spirit and appreciation for nature's beauty.
The course venue offers a mix of paved roads and dirt paths, with the race beginning from Fish Hatchery Road on the Fall River Trail. After passing by the historic Elkhorn Lodge, runners will wind through scenic trails before finishing at downtown’s Performance Park. The downhill start ensures a thrilling first mile for all participants, while aid stations are strategically placed along the route to keep everyone well fueled.
