This beloved trail race offers runners three distance options: an epic 24 km route, a moderate 12 km course, and a shorter but equally engaging 5 km run. The event takes place in the picturesque setting of Rya Åsarna Nature Reserve, where participants will be greeted by stunning views and varied landscapes. The start and finish line are set at Platån, providing runners with a vibrant atmosphere filled with music, food stalls, sponsor exhibits, and a cozy runner's lounge. For those looking to add an element of team spirit to the race day experience, there’s also a fun relay competition on the 12 km course. Teams must consist of at least four members, allowing friends or colleagues to challenge each other in both men’s and women’s categories. One highlight of the event is the formidable "Devil's Hill," where runners will face an intense climb rewarded with enthusiastic cheers from spectators lining the trail. The fastest male and female climbers receive special recognition for their effort here. In addition, Rya Åsar Trail Run has been included in Outnorth Trail Tour for a seventh consecutive year, making the 24 km distance part of this prestigious series. The day also features a delightful kids' race called Rya Åsar Kids Trail Run. Children aged 6 to 8 years can enjoy an 800m course, while those between 9 and 13 have the option of running 1,8km through beautiful trails designed especially for them.
