Samaritans Way Trail Run

Join us on Saturday, April 3rd, 2027, for the Samaritans Way Trail Run & Walk, an inspiring event that combines physical challenge with a meaningful cause. This annual celebration marks the birthday of Teesside Samaritans and offers participants the opportunity to support their vital work in providing emotional support across the region.
The route follows the Official Samaritans Way, a trail created by local volunteers years ago to connect communities through nature and compassion. Whether you're an avid runner or prefer walking at your own pace, there are two distances available: a 10km walk/run and a half marathon run/walk. Both courses feature scenic trails that wind through picturesque landscapes around Guisborough Rugby Club.
Participants can expect well-stocked checkpoints along the way, ensuring hydration and energy needs are met throughout their journey. The event is fully marshalled to ensure safety and support at every turn, with medical cover available should any assistance be needed during the race.
Upon completing your chosen distance, you'll receive a finishers medal and an exclusive event T-shirt as tokens of appreciation for your dedication and effort. Additionally, there will be food and drink awaiting participants upon crossing the finish line to help refuel after the run or walk.
All proceeds from this event go directly towards supporting Teesside Samaritans' mission to provide round-the-clock emotional support services. Your participation helps ensure that volunteers are available around the clock to answer calls for help, offering solace and guidance to those in need.
Registration opens at 7:30 AM on race day with an event briefing scheduled for 8:45 AM before the start of both races at 9:00 AM. Early bird pricing is still available until September 30th, making it a great time to secure your spot and support this important cause.
