On December 6, 2026, the city of Hyderabad will host the Sankalp Suraksha Run, an inspiring and impactful race dedicated to raising awareness about child safety. This annual event has been organized since 2007 by Sankalp, a pioneering organization focused on educating communities about safeguarding children from abuse. The run offers three categories for participants of all ages: the 3K "Change Starts Her" route designed specifically for young girls aged 6 to 15; the 5K "Run for Child Safety," open to both adults and older children (ages 6-15); and a challenging 10K timed race aimed at adult runners. The event promises an engaging atmosphere with a mix of enthusiastic participants, supporters cheering along the route, and volunteers dedicated to making this year's run memorable. Registration fees include a goodie bag containing essential items such as T-shirts, caps, bibs, and energy drinks for all categories except children’s 5K and 3K races. On race day, every finisher will receive a medal and be treated to a healthy breakfast along with a sugar-free protein shake. Hyderabad is the capital and largest city of the Indian state of Telangana. It occupies 650 km2 (250 sq mi) on the Deccan Plateau along the banks of the Musi River, in the northern part of Southern India.
