Santa Barbara Half Marathon & 5K

The 2026 Santa Barbara Half Marathon & 5K, set for November 8th, invites participants through the vibrant streets of downtown. The race commences at 7:30 AM on Anapamu Street near historic landmarks and local businesses, providing a scenic backdrop for runners of all abilities.
As you navigate the course, expect firm yet slightly soft terrain that offers gentle inclines but remains manageable. With temperatures around 15.9°C (60°F) in the morning, conditions are perfect for both seasoned athletes and newcomers alike. By race day, weather forecasts predict a high of 22.2°C (72°F), with low humidity levels ensuring comfortable running conditions.
The Half Marathon route spans 21 kilometers (approximately 13 miles), offering runners stunning views along the way. The course weaves through charming streets and finishes near the waterfront park on Anapamu Street, making for a memorable finish line experience. Unlike previous years, there are no official aid stations due to the firm surface conditions; however, enthusiastic spectators will line the route, cheering you on.
