Sargent Lions Club 5K Fun Run/Walk

The Sargent Lions Club is hosting its annual 5K Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at picturesque Mike Leebron Park. Located at 716 Caney Drive in Sargent, Texas, this event offers a welcoming atmosphere for runners of all ages and abilities.
Participants can choose between two distinct races: the first race kicks off at 8:30am with a focus on precision timing for those seeking an official USATF-certified time. This route features a flat, paved course that is ideal for competitive runners looking to set personal bests or chase qualifying times. The second race begins at 10:00am and welcomes everyone from families and children to joggers and walkers who are simply out for fun.
The event takes place on the certified USATF route with FAT Timing (Camera Timed) ensuring accuracy and fairness for all participants. Water stations will be available approximately halfway through both courses, providing essential hydration during your run or walk.
Registration fees vary depending on when you sign up: $30 until midnight on October 31, which guarantees an event shirt; $45 until noon on November 17 (no shirt included); and a day-of-race fee of $50 with no shirt provided. Early packet pickup is available at Mike Leebron Park from 4:30pm to 6:30pm on Friday, November 20th, or race-day pick up begins at 7:30am.
Awards will be presented after each race concludes to the top three finishers in both male and female categories across five age groups: 14 & under, 15-18, 19-29, 30-49, and 50+. The event promises a day filled with camaraderie as runners of all levels enjoy the scenic surroundings of Mike Leebron Park.
