SATURN - Midweek Chasing Numbers Aug 2026

About the Event

Chasing Numbers invites you to experience an exceptionally flexible and inclusive midweek run along the picturesque River Thames. This unique 7-hour Time Challenge offers participants full control over their distance, catering to all levels from casual walkers to seasoned runners aiming for longer distances.
The event kicks off at a convenient time between 7:30am and 3:30pm on Fridays, allowing you to fit your run around other commitments. The course is carefully designed with safety in mind, featuring well-maintained paths and tarmac that are easy to navigate even without prior experience. This scenic route along the River Thames provides a serene backdrop for runners of all abilities.
Participants can choose from various distance options: complete one lap (7km or 4.37 miles), run multiple laps up to an ultra-distance, or aim for specific milestones like half-marathon (21.0975 km) and marathon distances (42.195 km). For younger runners adhering to UK Athletics guidelines, there are designated turn points at the 3km and 5km marks.
Upon completing a minimum distance of just 3 kilometers, all finishers receive an official medal as well as a goody bag filled with treats tailored for both general participants and vegan athletes. Distance pins are available for those who complete half-marathon distances or more, celebrating these achievements in style.
Supporting your efforts throughout the day is a fantastic aid station offering a variety of snacks including savory items, fruits, cheese, and vegan options to keep you fueled during your run. The event also provides toilets and changing facilities at race HQ, which conveniently houses a café for post-run refreshments.
For special occasions or significant milestones in your running journey, let Chasing Numbers know ahead of time so they can arrange personalized recognition like custom numbers with names and dates inscribed on them.
Parking is readily available nearby, and while there's an option to leave bags at the start/finish area, participants are advised not to store valuable items due to limited supervision. Headphones are permitted during the run for those who prefer a soundtrack to accompany their efforts.
Join us for this welcoming event that celebrates inclusivity and flexibility, providing runners with both scenic beauty and personal challenge along the River Thames.

About Egham

Learn more about the host city, Egham.

Scenic view of

Egham is a town in the Borough of Runnymede in Surrey, England, approximately 19 miles (31 km) west of central London. First settled in the Bronze Age, the town was under the control of Chertsey Abbey for much of the Middle Ages. In 1215, Magna Carta was sealed by King John at Runnymede, to the north of Egham, having been chosen for its proximity to the King's residence at Windsor. Under the Dissolution of the Monasteries in the early 16th Century, the major, formerly ecclesiastical, manorial freehold interests in the town and various market revenues passed to the Crown.
