Are you tough enough to take on the Scenic Rim Ultra?
The Scenic Rim Ultra is one of the most hardcore, gruelling and spectacular runs in Australia. If you want a flat and fast run, this isn’t for you. But if you are up for 4000m+ of elevation, punishing mountain climbs, relentless ridgelines, technical downhill and some of the most gob-smacking scenery in Queensland, then you are in for the adventure of a lifetime.
The Scenic Rim Ultra starts at Lilybrook Recreation Area (Western Trail Head) on Beaudesert Boonah Rd in the Scenic Rim of Queensland, just an hour’s drive south of Brisbane. Runners will traverse four mountains, the Dugandan Range, Wyaralong Dam and gnarly private trails not usually open to the public.
Dirt road, single track, dense forest, crazy cows (don’t say we didn’t warn you!), this run has it all. The loop course finishes back at Lilybrook Recreation Area – the perfect place to celebrate your massive achievement.
The Scenic Rim Ultra is tough – real tough. And it will test everything you have – mindset, endurance, strength, determination, grit. But bragging rights? You’ll get them all!
Oh, and did we mention that all 105km finishers get a kick arse cowboy hat?!
Don’t worry, 10km, 25km, 42km and 65km runners won’t miss out. You’ll get your own unique reward, and you can rest assured it won’t be just another medal that gets shoved into a drawer!
