About the Event

The Wild Earth Coastal High 50K Run returns to Beechmont in the Queensland Gold Coast Hinterland on August 29th, 2026.
This race offers a stunning journey through World-Heritage listed Lamington and Springbrook National Parks. The trail runs from the historic town of Beechmont along winding paths that wind through dense forest and open vistas. Early morning starts will find participants in cool, misty conditions with temperatures around 15 degrees Celsius, perfect for an invigorating start.
This event is a testament to its rich history; it has been running since 2013, attracting hundreds of runners each year who come together not just to test their endurance but also to support local charities. This year's edition will include the best trails that South-East Queensland has to offer, with two race distances: the 50km and a more challenging 28km.
The course venue is marked by varied terrain, from steep ascents into the hills to gentle descents through lush forest. Notable features include wicked aid stations positioned at strategic points along the route and electronic timing for accurate results. Finishers can look forward to a unique finisher's medal and surprise gift on race day.
