Immerse yourself in the awe-inspiring landscapes of Serengeti National Park with the annual Serengeti Safari Marathon. This unique race offers participants an unforgettable running experience through one of Africa's most iconic natural settings.
Located in the western region of the park, near Ndabaka Gate, the marathon features a variety of distances to cater to runners at all levels: 42 km for those seeking a full challenge; 21 km for half-marathon enthusiasts; 10 km for busy professionals looking for an invigorating run; and a fun-filled 5 km option for families and beginners.
Each race route weaves through the park's vast savannas, offering runners breathtaking views of rolling grasslands dotted with acacia trees. The terrain varies between rough trails and tarmac roads, providing both scenic beauty and technical challenges throughout the course.
The event not only celebrates athletic achievement but also promotes tourism in this remarkable natural environment. Participants will have a rare opportunity to explore Serengeti's endless plains while contributing to its conservation efforts through their participation.
Please note that "East Africa Participants" tickets are exclusively available for local runners, and any non-local attempts at registration using these tickets will result in cancellation of the entry.
