Serra Alta Trail Run - São Bento do Sul - SC

The 3rd Trail Run Serra Alta takes place on Sunday, June 7, 2026, starting from Moveis Paulo at Rua Mathias Nossol, 2900, Bairro Serra Alta, in São Bento do Sul, Santa Catarina, Brazil. This 100% trail running event features distances of 6km, 12km, and 18km through private terrain, promoting sports practice in contact with nature, health, well-being, and personal achievement, with a maximum time limit of three hours for all participants.

Event Logistics and Participant Information:

• Registration Period: From July 14, 2024 until May 29, 2026, or until the technical limit of 800 participants is reached.
• Kit Pickup: Saturday, June 6, 2026 (location to be announced closer to the event date) and on race day from 05:00 to 07:00 at the event start location.
• Included in Kit: Bib number, disposable timing chip, and event t-shirt (sizes subject to availability at registration).
• Identification Required: Kit pickup requires presentation of a photo ID (original document). For third-party pickup, the athlete's original ID is required.
• Timing: Disposable chip timing system. Chip must be attached to the shoelace. Brute time determines overall classification; net time determines age group categories.
• Aid Stations: Water stations along the course following IAAF Rule 240 for road races, plus a water tent after the finish.
• Finisher Medal: All participants who complete the race within the three-hour time limit receive a finisher medal.
• Awards: Trophies for top five overall male and female finishers, and top three male and female finishers in each age category. Trophy also awarded to the largest team (assessoria).
• Age Categories – 6km: 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65+.
• Age Categories – 12km & 18km: 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65+.
• Maximum Time: 3 hours for all distances. After this time, the safety, infrastructure, and medical support will be deactivated.
• Group Discounts: Available for groups of at least 10 athletes (single team only – no merging of teams or multiple team names).
• Special Rates: Available for seniors (over 60) and persons with disabilities.
• Dogs: Allowed only if on a leash throughout the entire course. Runners are responsible for any incidents involving the animal and must clean up after them.
• Facilities at Start/Finish Area: Information booth, bag check, restrooms, hydration tent, kit pickup tent, medical area, and sponsor/supporter tents.
• Medical Support: Ambulance service available at the finish line and along the course for emergencies.
• Bag Check: Courtesy service for clothing items only (no valuables). Organizers are not responsible for lost or damaged items.
• Registration Changes: Name changes are not permitted after registration. Bib and chip cannot be transferred to another person.
• Cancellation: The race may be canceled due to adverse weather conditions or force majeure that puts participants' physical integrity at risk.
• Results: Published on the official website (www.chiprun.com.br) within 24 hours after the event.
