Starting at Houde Park, Xikou Town, Shanghang County, Longyan, Fujian, this race runs October 25 with a 900-runner cap across "Iron & Blood Road" 50KM (300 spots), "Beacon Fire Journey" 32KM (300 spots), and "Red Star Leap" 8KM (300 spots). Registration is first-come, first-served, with early-bird pricing through August 20. The 50KM (2,219m gain, ITRA 2 points) starts 6:30 with a 13-hour cutoff; the 32KM (1,716m gain, ITRA 1 point) starts 6:30 with an 8-hour cutoff; the 8KM (255m gain) starts 8:30 with a 3-hour cutoff. A pilgrimage as much as a race, tracing the historic "Central Red Transport Line" through the mountains of western Fujian -- a route once used to move supplies and personnel into the Communist-held Central Soviet Area, every step retracing the footsteps of the revolutionaries who came before.
