Sibelco Cornwood 10K Challenge & Fun Run

The Sibelco Cornwood 10K Challenge offers runners an evening adventure through the scenic landscapes of Cornwood and Lutton on Saturday, July 25th, 2026. The race begins at 6:30 p.m., allowing participants to enjoy a run that combines rolling hills with flat stretches along local roads and tracks.
For those seeking a more relaxed experience or looking for fewer inclines, the accompanying 4K Fun Run is ideal for families and younger runners under 16 years old. This event kicks off just five minutes after the main race at 6:35 p.m., providing an accessible route that still captures the charm of Cornwood.
Both events start and finish in the heart of Cornwood Square, where participants will find refreshments, changing facilities, and baggage storage available to ensure a comfortable experience. All runners who cross the finish line receive commemorative medals, while teams compete for additional prizes. The event also features a £50 prize for setting or breaking the 10K course record; currently held by Adam Holland with a time of 33 minutes and 34 seconds (male) and Naomi Flanaghan at 39 minutes and 16 seconds (female).
Race numbers can be collected from the Entries Tent in Cornwood Square starting at 4:00 p.m. on race day, so plan to arrive early to secure your spot.
Safety is a top priority for organizers who remind participants that headphones are not permitted during the run to ensure everyone's awareness and safety throughout the event.
