Silverton Fire Department Fall Festival 5K

On Saturday, October 3, 2026, the Silverton Volunteer Fire Company invites runners and community members of all ages to join them for an engaging day filled with activities at their annual Fall Festival. The festivities kick off early on race morning when participants can register starting from 8 AM at the Silverton Fire Department located at 15 Kettle Creek in Toms River, New Jersey.
The event features a fun-filled 1-mile run and a USATF certified 5K race, both of which are designed to cater to runners seeking either a quick jaunt or a more challenging course. The one-mile fun run starts promptly at 9:30 AM, followed by the official start time for the 5K at 10 AM.
Participants will enjoy scenic routes through Toms River's vibrant neighborhoods and parks as they make their way to the finish line where awards are given out based on overall results and age group classifications. Top male and female competitors in each category receive recognition, adding an element of friendly competition to the day’s events.
Following the races, a community celebration begins at 11 AM with the Annual Fall Festival. This event showcases local vendors offering unique goods, live music performances that cater to all tastes, raffle opportunities for exciting prizes, and delicious food options from various stalls. The festival also features vehicle extrication demonstrations by skilled firefighters, providing an educational experience as well.
Registration fees vary depending on whether participants sign up in advance or opt for day-of registration. For the 1-mile fun run, early bird rates are $35 with a t-shirt included; however, same-day prices rise to $40 without a guarantee of a shirt unless it is still available. Similarly, the 5K comes at an advanced rate of $45 which includes a commemorative t-shirt or can be purchased on race day for $50.
To ensure participants receive their preferred shirt sizes, pre-registration is recommended by September 18, 2026. The event aims to raise funds for both the Tunnel To Towers Foundation and support local fire department initiatives while fostering community spirit through sportsmanship and camaraderie.
Please note that parking at the Silverton Fire Department may be limited due to space constraints; therefore, early arrival is advised so you can find a spot on nearby residential streets. Regardless of weather conditions, this event will proceed as planned with no refunds available for cancellations or changes in circumstances.
