Sol Riders Adventure Bike Camp at Phoenixville, PA
About the Event
Welcome to the Phoenixville Adventure Bike Camp! This 5-day program is designed for young cyclists aged 6 through 15, with a special place reserved for those who are almost ready—age 5.5 if they can handle it. Located in the picturesque setting of Phoenixville, PA, this camp offers an immersive biking experience combined with fun activities and educational lessons. Campers will start their mornings at Reservoir Park Pavilion (601 Franklin Ave, Phoenixville, PA 19460), where they'll learn about bike maintenance, safe handling techniques, and participate in skill-building games. The Phoenixville Bike Park is a highlight, offering level-appropriate trails that cater to different abilities. In between rides, kids can explore the local environment through mini-hikes and creek walks, learning about wildlife and history. They’ll pedal their way to nearby points of interest such as Upper Schuylkill Valley Park Animal Refuge and Lock 60 Recreational Area, where they might spot some native species or enjoy a leisurely stroll. Weather permitting, each day ends with a sweet treat from local Phoenixville businesses. Families should be prepared for the unexpected; if rain makes outdoor activities impossible, campers will retreat to the Phoenixville Fire Company (150 Paradise St., Phoenixville, PA 19460) where they can enjoy indoor games and crafts. Camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., with half-day sessions available for those who need it. Participants should arrive well-prepared; bring a bike in good condition (tires, chains, brakes), a helmet, two spare tubes, water or hydration pack, closed-toe shoes, and snacks. Coach Heather will keep parents informed via text and email about any changes due to weather conditions. Safety is paramount—bring protective gear like eyewear and sunscreen for outdoor days, and padded shorts by day two when the rides start getting longer. Pricing starts at $295 for a half-day session or $580 for full-day attendance. This includes snacks, treats, and branded Sol Riders swag. To ensure an enjoyable experience, please have your bike checked regularly; take it to a shop for a tune-up if needed. For more details or inquiries about the program, reach out to Coach Heather at [email protected]
