Sommarmilen 2026

On July 21st, IFK Umeå invites runners to the Sommarmilen 10 km race, set on an easy and fast four-lap course around Ön Island. This scenic event is part of Västerbottningens Grand Prix in long-distance running.
The race begins at 7:00 PM from Vakin parking lot on Ön, offering participants a flat and smooth loop that winds through the island's picturesque surroundings. The entry fee for runners who register before July 18th is 200 SEK, with number bibs available starting at 6:00 PM.
Water stations will be strategically placed along each lap to keep athletes hydrated throughout the race. All finishers receive a medal, and top three competitors in various categories are awarded trophies.
Late registrations can still take place on-site but come with an increased fee of 300 SEK, payable via Swish or cash only. Parking is limited around Ön Island, so organizers recommend that nearby residents opt for cycling to the event location.
