Leeds Mince Pie Mile invites runners of all ages and abilities for an engaging race day experience at the South Leeds Stadium. The event kicks off with registration starting at 9am, followed by a free Children's Fun Run beginning promptly at 10:35 am, offering young participants two laps around the track. The main race commences at 10:30 am and takes runners on an adventurous journey through both stadium grounds and surrounding parklands. The route is meticulously marshalled to ensure clear directions throughout the course, which might include some muddy sections due to recent weather conditions. As such, trail shoes are recommended for optimal traction. Participants will enjoy a drinks station en route to help them stay hydrated during their run. Upon crossing the finish line at the stadium, all runners receive a bespoke finishers medal and goody bag as tokens of appreciation. For those interested in an extra touch of comfort post-race, technical t-shirts are available for purchase until mid-November. The day concludes with prize presentations scheduled to take place at 12:15 pm in one of the stadium bars, recognizing achievements across various categories including overall top three male and female runners, veteran divisions, course records (cash prizes offered), and best fancy dress attire. All proceeds from this event are dedicated towards enhancing health and sports opportunities for young people in South Leeds by removing financial barriers to participation. Join us on race day with your finest running form or most creative costume – let's make it a memorable celebration of community spirit, fitness, and fun!

Leeds is the largest city in the county of West Yorkshire and the third largest city in Britain, though its urban area size falls behind that of Manchester.
