Southampton Common 10K Charity Fun Run

Start your New Year's running routine with the Southampton Common 10K, taking place on Sunday, January 5th. This invigorating post-Christmas run offers participants an opportunity to reconnect with nature and enjoy a scenic route through Southampton’s lush greenery.
The event is designed for runners of all levels—from those looking to test their fitness after the holiday season to casual joggers seeking a refreshing start to the year. The friendly atmosphere, complete with supportive fellow runners and enthusiastic volunteers, ensures that everyone feels welcomed and motivated throughout the race.
With its picturesque path winding through Southampton Common, this 10K course provides an ideal setting for anyone aiming to shake off festive indulgences and ease back into their running routine in a beautiful outdoor environment. The event is England Athletics-affiliated with an accurately measured route of 3,226 meters plus two laps around the common.
Participants will enjoy free parking near British Rail Southampton Central (just 1.5 miles away), as well as access to toilets and drop-off areas on site. Water stations are strategically placed along the course for hydration, ensuring that runners can maintain their pace without worrying about dehydration or fatigue. First aid support is also available should any medical attention be needed.
Upon crossing the finish line, all participants will receive a bespoke medal commemorating their achievement, while top performers will earn spot prizes including trophies for the first three male and female winners.
