The Belper Rover 2026

Belper Rover offers runners and walkers an exhilarating journey through the historic landscapes of Derbyshire, tracing ancient Roman roads that once echoed with tales of highwaymen. This 30-kilometer chipped race is marked by clear signage along footpaths, bridleways, and public roads, weaving through farmland and lush woodland.
The route winds past parts of the Midshires Way, providing a mix of scenic beauty and challenging terrain that tests endurance on narrow paths unsuitable for wheelchairs or dogs. Participants start their adventure at race HQ in Belper from 7:30 AM to collect their numbers before setting off. Walkers embark at 8:30 AM, followed by runners who take the rolling start between 9:00 and 9:20 AM.
All finishers will be rewarded with a commemorative medal as well as a unique memento that captures the essence of this historic race. Given limited parking facilities in Belper, car-sharing is encouraged to reduce traffic congestion around the event area.
