Halloween is about to get spooktacular with the third annual Halloween Spooky Spunch Special at The Vine Inn in Nantwich! This unique treasure hunt-style adventure welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and abilities, offering an exciting mini-adventure through a network of paths, riverside trails, lakesides, canals, and charming residential areas.
Participants have the flexibility to choose their own challenge level with distances ranging from 2 kilometers up to 22 kilometers. The event offers three duration options: 60 minutes, 90 minutes, or 120 minutes, allowing you to select your preferred pace on the day of the race. Satellite punching using the MapRun app is a key feature, enabling runners and walkers to visit over 60 SpunchPoints scattered throughout the course.
The event kicks off at The Vine Inn with on-site registration starting from 4:30 PM. You can start anytime between 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM, though it's important to note that the last start for the 120-minute course is at 6:00 PM, while the final start time for the 90-minute option is 6:30 PM. With sunset around 4:40 PM, most of your adventure will take place in the dark, so don't forget to bring a torch and wear hi-vis clothing.
The Vine Inn provides a warm welcome with indoor and sheltered outdoor areas perfect for relaxing after your run or walk. Enjoy hearty pies from their special PIE MENU paired with drinks at reasonable prices like pie n' pint for £13.95. The venue is also child-friendly, welcoming dogs as long as they are kept on a leash.
