Spunch! invites you to an unconventional adventure that combines the thrill of treasure hunting with the joy of running or walking. This unique mini-adventure is designed for all ages and skill levels, making it perfect whether you're a seasoned athlete or just starting out.
Choose from three course durations: 60 minutes, 90 minutes, or 120 minutes, allowing flexibility in your experience. Participants can visit over 60 SpunchPoints scattered across the area using satellite-punching technology via the MapRun app on their smartphones, Garmin devices, or Apple Watches.
The event takes place at The Navigation Inn located along Newport Road in Gnosall, ST20 0BN. On-site registration begins at 5:30 PM and you can start your adventure anytime between then and 7:30 PM. Ensure you're aware of the last start times for each course duration to avoid missing out.
This autumn event offers a mix of terrain including tarmac roads, off-road trails, gravel tracks, and canal towpaths. The area is rich with undiscovered paths and scenic spots that even locals might find new and exciting. Whether running solo or in groups up to three people, this adventure welcomes everyone from friends and families to newcomers and seasoned adventurers.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times for safety reasons. For those planning to venture out after sunset, high-visibility clothing and torches are recommended as darkness falls around 7:25 PM. The event concludes with food and drinks available nearby, making it easy to refuel post-adventure.
Registration opens early in the day before the event, providing you with all necessary details including the MapRun course layout. With parking, registration, help desks, bag drops, restrooms, start/finish lines, results announcements, and refreshments all conveniently located at or near The Navigation Inn, Spunch! ensures a seamless experience for everyone involved.
