Each checkpoint features a satellite punch using the MapRun app or compatible devices like Garmin or Apple Watch, making it easy for everyone to participate.
The adventure takes place around Leekbrook and Cheddleton in the beautiful Staffordshire countryside, offering both hilly terrains and flatter paths through forests and fields. Expect stunning views and varied underfoot conditions ranging from tarmac roads to off-road trails. While there's no guarantee of mud-free routes, you'll be immersed in nature with plenty of opportunities for discovery.
Registration opens at 12:30 PM on the day, allowing participants to start anytime between then and 2:30 PM (with a last start time of 1:30 PM for those opting for the longest course). The event is held at the Peak Climbing Wall & Cafe in Leek, providing a warm welcome with indoor and outdoor spaces that cater to children and pets alike. On-site amenities include food, drinks, registration desks, bag drop areas, toilets, start and finish lines, as well as results announcements.
