CBTE The Charm Bracelet 10k

The Charm Bracelet 10K trail run invites runners and walkers to explore the rugged beauty of Skinningrove, a charming fishing village nestled along the coast. This scenic race takes participants on an 8-mile journey that includes nearly 900 feet of elevation gain, offering both challenging ascents and picturesque descents.
The route starts in Skinningrove before ascending onto dramatic cliffs where runners can enjoy panoramic views of the coastline. The trail then follows the Cleveland Way to the iconic Charm Bracelet site, a significant landmark for local history enthusiasts. Afterward, participants descend into Saltburn, known for its stunning scenery and vibrant atmosphere, featuring a checkpoint with water and snacks.
From there, the race takes a small loop around Saltburn before retracing parts of the Cleveland Way back towards Skinningrove to complete the circuit. The terrain varies from rocky paths along the cliffs to smoother trails through scenic countryside, providing runners with an engaging mix of challenges and breathtaking vistas throughout their journey.
The event is designed for participants aged 15 and older, making it accessible to a wide range of ages and skill levels. Runners have up to two-and-a-half hours to finish the course, ensuring that both competitive athletes and casual walkers can enjoy the experience at their own pace.
Upon crossing the finish line in Skinningrove, all participants receive a commemorative medal as well as smiles from enthusiastic race directors who are eager to celebrate everyone’s achievements.
Trophies are awarded based on age categories including first male, female, non-binary, and youth divisions under 18 years old for both genders. Additionally, there are awards for the top finishers in various veteran categories (FV50, F60, F70, MV50, M60, M70).
Registration opens at 8:45 am with a start time of 10:30 am, giving participants ample opportunity to warm up and prepare for the day ahead. Participants have the option to purchase XCover insurance, which provides peace of mind in case unforeseen circumstances prevent them from attending.
