Standish Hall Trail Race - 20 February 2027

The Wigan Phoenix Standish Hall Trail Race returns on Saturday, February 20, 2027, at 2:30 PM, offering runners an exhilarating journey through the picturesque trails of Standish. This trail race is sanctioned under TRA rules and boasts a permit number 8596.
The approximately 10K course winds its way along bridle paths and woodland trails, providing participants with stunning natural scenery and challenging terrain. The route has been meticulously designed to cater to runners of all abilities, ensuring an engaging experience for both seasoned trail enthusiasts and newcomers alike.
Registration takes place at Standish Community High School in WN6 0NX. Early bird entry is available online via Bookitzone until February 19th, with a fee of £10 (unaffiliated entries are £12). On-the-day registrations cost slightly more: £12 for affiliated runners and £14 for unaffiliated participants.
The event welcomes all ages, but the minimum age requirement is 16. Runners can look forward to free results on the day as well as a complimentary Wigan pie after crossing the finish line. Prize categories include first-place awards for both men and women in five individual spots each, plus top honors for juniors (U20), veterans, and club teams.
The race also features special prizes sponsored by The Endurance Store, rewarding the first male and female junior winners along with several veteran age groups from 35 to 65. Team competition is another highlight of this event, where four men and three women can compete for a coveted team prize.
