State Games of MS Rolling Hill Revival CC Run

Immerse yourself in the natural splendor of Roosevelt State Park as you lace up your running shoes for the Rolling Hill Revival, an extraordinary race that promises to challenge and inspire. Set against the backdrop of rolling hills, dense forests, and sparkling Shadow Lake, this event offers two exhilarating distances: a 7-mile loop and a full marathon at 14 miles.
The course itself is a testament to nature's beauty and complexity, featuring mostly single-track trails with some sections of paved or gravel roads. The 7-mile route includes nearly 700 feet of elevation gain, while the longer distance offers twice that challenge along its winding path through varied terrain. Both courses are designed for runners looking to test their skills against Mother Nature's obstacles and rewards.
Participants will start at the park’s ball field across from the main office building, with the 14-mile race kicking off at 7:30 AM followed by the shorter distance starting at 8:00 AM. It is important that all runners adhere strictly to the designated course; short-cutting or straying onto alternative trails will result in disqualification.
For those planning a longer stay, Roosevelt State Park offers accommodation options ranging from cozy cabins and RV spots to a full-service hotel located just steps away from the race start/finish line. The park's facilities also include picnic shelters, playgrounds, and fishing opportunities at Shadow Lake for family fun beyond the racing event itself.
Race day will not only feature competitive running but also the Santa on Wheels Car Show starting at 10 AM, complete with food trucks offering a variety of dining options. All runners can look forward to hydration stations along both courses stocked with water, sports drinks, and trail mix during their run.
Registration for this event includes more than just entry into one of Mississippi’s most scenic races; the first 100 registrants will receive a custom camp mug emblazoned with the Rolling Hill Revival logo. Plus, proceeds from each race go directly to supporting vital initiatives by Friends of Roosevelt State Park, ensuring that future generations can enjoy these natural wonders.
