About the Event

Odense Runners' Festival is set to take place on Saturday, August 26th, offering runners of all ages and abilities the chance to participate in various distances at Stige Boldklub in Tanggaardvej 12. The event features a range of routes designed for flat terrain with clear markings throughout.
The marathon and half-marathon events will cover a distance of 7.04 kilometers per loop, officially measured by DAF standards. Participants can expect multiple loops to complete their respective distances on these courses. For the shorter races, runners have one continuous route that spans longer stretches suitable for both running and walking enthusiasts. The children's race takes place in Hedelundhegnet with clear signage guiding young participants around two laps.
Registration begins early morning with the marathon and half-marathon walkers starting at 8:00 AM followed by the full marathons beginning shortly after. Half-marathon runners will kick off their journey at 9:00 AM, while a walking group for the half-marathon starts fifteen minutes later. The family-friendly atmosphere continues as children aged up to fourteen years old take part in a two-kilometer run starting at 9:30 AM and a five kilometer race commences an hour later.
Entry fees vary based on age and distance, with discounts available when registering for multiple events or bringing young participants along. For instance, adults participating in the shorter races can bring their children to compete in the kids' event free of charge if they sign up together. Prizes include vouchers for a sausage and drink at the finish line area.
Water stations are strategically placed throughout each route as well as near the start/finish lines ensuring hydration remains accessible during the race day. Additionally, participants will have opportunities to win prizes through raffle draws held after all races conclude.
All young competitors in the children's event receive medals included with their registration fees while winners across different categories also earn awards for their achievements. Runners looking for additional recognition can purchase personalized medals at 35 DKK regardless of which distance they complete.
The festival promises an engaging day filled with scenic routes, friendly competition, and memorable experiences for everyone involved.
