Ringe Familieløb 2026

On August 29, 2026, the picturesque town of Ringe plays host to its annual family-friendly running event, the Ringe Family Run. Organized by the local Ringe Running Club, this beloved community gathering welcomes runners and their families from all walks of life for a day filled with fun and friendly competition.
The event offers something for everyone, featuring four distinct race categories: half-marathon (21km), 10 km run, 5 km jog, and a shorter 2.5 km dash suitable for younger participants or those seeking a more leisurely experience. Each course is carefully marked with GPS tracking to ensure accurate distances, though runners should be aware that there may be slight deviations due to the nature of outdoor courses.
Participants start their day at Idrætscenter Midtfyn on Søvej in Ringe, where they can pick up their race numbers and chips for timing. Online registration closes two days before the event, but those who prefer last-minute planning have until 9:00 AM on the morning of August 29th to register online or at the venue.
The day's activities kick off with an early start for half-marathon runners at 10:00 AM. Shortly after, participants in the Power Walk event set out along a scenic route that winds through the charming surroundings of Midtfyn. A few minutes later, both the 10 km and 5 km races begin to accommodate varying levels of fitness and experience.
For those enjoying shorter distances or walking routes, there are several opportunities throughout the day to join in the fun without feeling rushed. All racers must finish by 1 PM to ensure a smooth wrap-up of activities.
Upon crossing the finish line, runners can look forward to refreshments such as Slush Ice and popcorn for younger competitors. Additionally, all participants who complete their respective distances will receive medals commemorating their achievement. There are also special prizes awarded to top male and female athletes in each category, adding an extra layer of excitement to the competition.
Entry fees vary based on race distance but range from a modest 75 DKK for the shortest route up to 150 DKG for the half-marathon challenge. Children under 12 years old enjoy discounted rates regardless of their chosen course length.
Participants are encouraged to arrive early, as there may be lines at registration and start areas due to high interest in this family-friendly event. For those who wish to secure race numbers ahead of time, they can pick them up on the Friday before the run from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
