Stillwater Center 5K and Fun Run

The inaugural Stillwater Spooktacular 5K Run & Walk is set to bring the community together on October 17, 2026, at Stillwater Center. This family-friendly and accessible event aims to support individuals with severe intellectual or physical disabilities who rely on around-the-clock care provided by Montgomery County Board of County Commissioners.
Participants will enjoy a festive atmosphere filled with trick-or-treating, a costume contest, and raffle prizes as they run through the scenic grounds surrounding Stillwater Center. The 5K route is designed to be inclusive for runners and walkers alike, ensuring that everyone can participate in this meaningful event.
Registration opens on September 13, offering various options at different price points depending on when you sign up. Early registrants who book by October 7 will receive a race shirt with their registration fee of $20 or $35 (depending on whether they opt for timed run only). Participants can also choose the fun-run option for just $10, though shirts are not included.
Race day activities kick off at 7:30 AM with packet pick-up and continue until 9:00 AM when runners set out. The event concludes around noon after awards ceremonies recognize top finishers across age groups as well as costume contest winners.
Proceeds from the Stillwater Spooktacular will directly benefit recreational programming, therapeutic activities, and other essential items not covered by traditional funding sources at Stillwater Center. By participating in this unique race, you contribute to enhancing the quality of life for those who call Stillwater home every day.
Parking is available on-site with guidance from volunteers directing participants where to park their vehicles safely. Please note that there will be no onsite registration; online sign-ups remain open until 8:45 AM on October 17th, with race items like shirts guaranteed only if registered by the deadline of October 7th.
In case of extreme weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, organizers reserve the right to reschedule the event date or convert it into a virtual run. However, refunds will not be issued under any circumstance.
