Join us for the 2nd edition of the Stroud 10k, an exhilarating race that takes runners on a scenic journey through the heart of Gloucestershire. This point-to-point course begins at Grove Lane (GL2 7NY) and concludes near Marling School’s playing field along Cainscross Road. For those traveling from afar or seeking convenience, we offer a coach service to transport participants directly to the start line for just £5 per person. The bus picks up runners close to Marling School around 8:30 AM on race day, dropping them off at Grove Lane by 9:00 AM, ensuring you have ample time before your 9:20 AM start. Parking is limited near the starting point; however, several car parks in Stroud are available for free or low-cost parking. The Cheapside Carpark (GL5 3BL), Cainscross Carpark (GL5 4JQ), and London Road (GL5 2AP) offer convenient alternatives within a short walking distance of the finish line. As you make your way through this challenging yet rewarding course, expect drink stations along the route where cups will be provided to keep you hydrated. The event also features volunteer pacers, recognizable by their distinctive flags or pacer t-shirts, who are there to help runners maintain specific pace times ranging from 38 minutes to 75 minutes. To ensure a safe and compliant race environment, UKA Rule T55 S5 permits the use of bone-conducting headphones only. For this event, we strictly adhere to these guidelines: in-ear or non-bone conducting headphones are not allowed under any circumstances.
