Experience the thrill of racing on Sac River MTB Trails during MORC Presents: Summer Dirt Crit Series Race #3. This unique short track series offers an exhilarating mix of technical challenges and fun, perfect for riders of all ages. Race dates are set for Tuesday, July 21st at the picturesque Sac River MTB Trails. Pre-register online by 3:00pm on race day to secure your spot; no onsite registration is allowed due to limited space. Pick up your numbered plate during check-in and keep it throughout the series—replacement plates cost $10. The event features a variety of categories, ensuring there's something for every skill level: - Kids Boys (Ages 8 & Under): Two laps at 6:00pm. - Kids Girls (Ages 8 & Under): Two laps at 6:00pm. - Kids Boys (Ages 9-12): Four laps at 6:00pm. - Kids Girls (Ages 9-12): Four laps at 6:00pm. For older racers, the schedule includes: - Junior Boys and Girls (Ages 13-18): Thirty-minute races starting at 6:45pm. Categories include Ages 13-15 and 16-18. - Beginner Cat 3 Men/Women: Thirty-minute race at 6:45pm with an entry fee of $20. - Sport Cat 2 Men/Women: Thirty-minute race at 7:30pm with a registration cost of $20. Elite racers will compete in: - Elite Cat 1 Men/Women: Also scheduled for a thirty-minute duration, starting at 7:30pm and costing $20 each.
Race day kicks off with check-in from 5:00pm to 5:45pm followed by practice sessions. Kids races begin promptly at 6:00pm, leading into awards ceremonies just after the kids' race ends. The beginner/junior category follows suit starting at 6:45pm, concluding with their award ceremony before 7:20pm. Elite and sport categories take to the trails from 7:30pm onwards, wrapping up by 8:05pm, followed immediately by awards presentations for these final races. Points are awarded based on finishing positions in each race, ranging from first place (10 points) down to tenth (1 point). The overall series podiums will be determined by the cumulative total of points earned throughout all four weeks. This event is proudly sponsored by OHA, Kuat Racks, Ozark Greenways, Trail Spring, Two Rivers, Spokes BMX, and Sac River MTB Trails. Helmets are mandatory for safety during your ride. Should weather conditions prevent the race from proceeding as planned, MORC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule with no exceptions.
