Experience the thrill of Knoxville’s diverse and challenging mountain bike trails on one of two exciting courses during this annual summer event. Held on what is typically the hottest day of the year, participants will traverse through South Knoxville's lush forested areas, offering a dense jungle-like atmosphere that promises an unforgettable ride. The short course offers 30 miles of thrilling terrain, starting at 9:30 AM and winding through some of Knoxville’s most scenic paths. For those seeking more adventure, the long course stretches approximately 50 miles, beginning earlier at 8:00 AM to accommodate a full day on the trails. Both courses share the same finish line located at 2830 Harold Lane but require careful parking arrangements due to limited space at this event address. Park your vehicle in one of two designated areas—either Meades Quarry (if you possess a parking tag) or Forks of the River Sunflower Lot, which is free and open to all. Preparation for an intense day on the bike is key; ensure you bring essential items such as a repair kit, snacks, and plenty of water. Two aid stations will be strategically placed along each course: one at Anderson School and another on the Far East Trail. Additional hydration points are available at Baker Creek Preserve, View Park Drive, and Meads Quarry. Registration opens early with special pricing for those who sign up by June 30th, securing a custom event t-shirt, food, and beverages including craft beers and sodas. For late registrants between July 1st to the 17th, while still enjoying all ride benefits, there’s no guarantee of receiving a T-shirt. Packet pick-up is conveniently available at both the event address starting from 6:30 AM or alternatively on TVB Friday, July 17th, from 2-6 PM. As you complete your journey, look forward to post-ride festivities including food, drinks, swimming, and socializing in a vibrant atmosphere. Join us for an adventure that combines the joy of mountain biking with the camaraderie of friends and fellow enthusiasts. Register now to secure your spot on what promises to be a memorable day outdoors!
