Immerse yourself in the world of off-road mountain biking with Total Body Fitness's (TBF) comprehensive Mountain Bike Clinic, tailored for riders at all skill levels. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your techniques, this clinic offers a blend of professional coaching and hands-on practice sessions designed to enhance your riding experience. The Level 1 Clinic focuses on the foundational skills every rider needs. From equipment set-up and trail stewardship etiquette to mastering balance, starts, stops, cornering, and wheel lifts, participants will gain confidence through practical drills and immediate feedback from expert coaches. The day includes a short trail ride after skill practice sessions, allowing riders to apply their newfound knowledge on the trails. For those ready for an advanced challenge, TBF's Level 2 Clinic builds upon these basics with more complex skills such as terrain reading, line selection, passing techniques, climbing and descending strategies, obstacle clearing, sand riding, and jumping. The clinic covers a wide variety of trail conditions including granite boulders, jumps, rock gardens, and more. Riders will also get to explore some favorite trails recommended by TBF coaches. Both clinics feature Clif Bar and FLUID fuel/snacks throughout the day to keep energy levels high during practice sessions. After mastering new skills through drills and group rides, participants conclude with a coached ride on local trails at Granite Beach where they can solidify their learning in real-world conditions. The clinic schedule is packed from start to finish: - 9:00 AM – Welcoming remarks followed by introductions of the coaching staff. - 9:15 AM – Discussion on equipment, apparel, safety measures, and maintenance tips. - 9:30 AM onwards – Warm-up laps leading into skill-focused drills with periodic breaks for refreshments. Each clinic runs until noon, providing a full day of learning and fun. For riders interested in customized individual or group clinics beyond the standard offering, contact Mark at Total Body Fitness via email (mark@totalbodyfitness.com) to discuss your specific needs and goals.
