Immerse yourself in the thrilling world of off-road mountain biking with TBF’s comprehensive Mountain Bike Clinic. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your skills, this clinic offers something for every level of rider. The day kicks off at 9 a.m., where participants are greeted by experienced coaches who will guide them through essential equipment and bike set-up tips, trail etiquette, and gear selection. The morning session covers fundamental aspects such as cadence, shifting techniques, balance, body movement, pedal technique, grip pressure, starts and stops, cornering on various surfaces, wheel lifts, and emergency stopping. After a brief break for refreshments provided by Clif Bar and FLUID fuel/snacks, riders transition into the Level 2 clinic. Here, participants review basic skills before delving deeper into advanced techniques like reading terrain flow, line selection, passing strategies, climbing and descending with optimal pedal technique and cadence, clearing obstacles, sand riding, and jumping. The afternoon features a coached ride on local trails at Granite Beach, where riders can practice their newly acquired skills in real-world conditions. This session offers the perfect opportunity to tackle granite boulders, jumps, rock gardens, and more while enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Throughout the day, TBF coaches share insights into favorite riding spots and provide tips on trail stewardship and bike maintenance. The clinic concludes at noon with a comprehensive review and discussion led by expert instructors who ensure that each participant leaves feeling confident in their abilities to tackle challenging terrain safely and effectively.
