The Axams Middle School to Axamer Lizum Hill Climb is set for Friday, May 8, 2026, inviting cyclists of all disciplines to conquer the challenging terrain. This road race features an elevation gain of 600 meters over a distance of 6.9 kilometers from its starting point at Axams Middle School to the finish line in the parking lot near Axamer Lizum.
The event kicks off promptly at 4:00 PM, with participants racing against time until the cutoff at 5:30 PM. Cyclists will enjoy road closures beginning at 3:45 PM for a safer and more focused riding experience. The race is designed to test endurance and climbing skills on this scenic route.
Registration fees vary depending on when you sign up—€30 for early bird entries, €35 if you wait until the last minute before the deadline of May 7, 2026, or €45 during late registration. On-site registrations are also available but limited to a maximum of 250 participants.
Included in your entry fee is digital transponder timing and access to personalized bib numbers upon sign-up. Additionally, race day services include free backpack transport between the start/finish line and complimentary parking at Axamer Lizum on event day. Cyclists will be treated to a pasta party hosted by Hotel Olympia after crossing the finish line.
The competition features categories for road bikes as well as mountain and gravel bikes, with separate divisions for men and women in each discipline. A special award is reserved for the largest team participating in the race, adding an element of camaraderie and teamwork to this challenging event.
