The Bournville Leafy 10K

The Leafy 10K, affectionately dubbed "The Leafy," invites runners to explore the lush parklands of Bournville on this scenic multi-terrain course. Organized by Bournville Harriers, the race offers a challenging yet rewarding experience through its varied terrain and picturesque setting.
Starting at Rowheath Pavilion, a historic venue built in 1924 by the Cadbury family for their workers, participants will embark on two laps of approximately five kilometers each. The course weaves through grassy fields lined with towering trees, winding paths that lead into quiet woodland areas, and stretches of road connecting Bournville’s leaf-covered streets. With a few hills to climb along the way, runners can expect an engaging mix of elevation changes.
Marshals will be stationed throughout the route to ensure everyone stays on track, making it easier for participants to focus on their performance rather than navigation. While regular running shoes are typically sufficient, trail or hybrid footwear might come in handy if recent weather conditions have left parts of the course damp and muddy.
Race day operations center around Rowheath Pavilion, which houses modern changing facilities and toilets. A café onsite offers a welcoming spot for post-race refreshments such as coffee and cake. Registration opens at 8:00 AM on race day, with a briefing scheduled for 9:55 AM before the start time of 10:00 AM. Early bird entry fees range between £24 for non-members and £22 for affiliated runners; standard rates are slightly higher at £29 and £27 respectively. On-the-day entries cost £32 if available. Entry Central service charges apply with a minimum fee of 50p per participant, payable during checkout.
