THE 2027 SUMMIT EPIC RIDE
August 10-15, 2027
Step back into the heart of mountain biking's early days at the 2027 Summit Epic Ride. Experience a race that celebrates camaraderie and big adventures in the backcountry. Each day brings you through six epic loops, each between 35 to 50 miles long, all starting and finishing within a mile from downtown Breckenridge.
UNIQUE COURSE DESIGN
The event's unique cloverleaf format ensures every loop begins and ends near the heart of Breck, making it easy for friends and family to support you. The trail network stretches across Summit and Park Counties, offering an interconnected web that challenges both body and spirit.
MAKING THE MOST OF YOUR TIME
When planning the courses, organizers asked what big rides they would choose if time was no object and their best buddies were tagging along. The result is six stages designed for all skill levels: long middle-ring climbs paired with endless big-ring descents that will leave you breathless but exhilarated.
THE SUMMIT EPIC EXPERIENCE
This year marks the 19th edition of the Summit Epic, a testament to its enduring appeal and community spirit. Riders from around the globe—25 countries and 40 states on average—gather here for more than just racing; they come for an unforgettable experience that blends adventure with camaraderie.
LIMITED FIELD FOR A BETTER EXPERIENCE
To ensure every rider has room to enjoy the trails, the race will limit its field to only 400 participants. This keeps the vibe vibrant yet intimate, allowing you to connect deeply with fellow riders and the stunning mountain landscape.
