The Ingram Hillforts Trail Race

Immerse yourself in the timeless beauty of Northumberland’s Ingram Valley with "The Ingram Hillforts" Trail Race. This 7-mile journey takes runners through rolling hills and past ancient hillforts, offering breathtaking views of the majestic Cheviot Hills.
Starting at the quaint village hall, participants will embark on a steady climb to Wether Hill, where they’ll encounter their first historic site. The ascent continues with an exhilarating push up to Cochrane Pike before descending towards Brough Law for an invigorating downhill run. After reaching this third hillfort, runners will retrace their steps back down the hills and through scenic valleys, eventually returning to the village hall.
The route is clearly marked throughout, ensuring that participants can focus on enjoying the stunning landscapes and historical sites along the way. With appropriate footwear and clothing for varying weather conditions, you’ll be ready to explore this richly textured trail system. Race numbers will be available at registration upon arrival in Ingram Village Hall.
Please note, dogs are not permitted during the race to ensure a safe environment for all participants.
