The Ozark Pancake Ride!
Republic High School, Republic, MO - August 8, 2026
Join us for Springfield's longest-running annual cycling event across picturesque Ozarks countryside. This family-friendly ride is perfect for cyclists of all abilities and ages.
Starting from Republic High School, the route will take you westward through the charming town of Billings, where a pancake station awaits to fuel your journey with fresh pancakes. Along the way, enjoy scenic views and convenient rest stops at Halltown Fire Station #1 and on FR 69. Convenience stores are also scattered along the course.
The ride concludes back at Republic High School, where you can cool off with fresh-cut watermelon. Rumors suggest a possible lemonade stand might add an extra touch of refreshment – bring some cash to support local kids!
This non-competitive community event emphasizes fun and camaraderie over competition. We encourage riders to adopt the "go slow and say hello" model, fostering a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone.
Key details:
- Helmets are mandatory.
- Participants must be 10 years or older (exceptions may apply in family categories).
- Use bike lanes when available and ride as close to the right-hand side of the road as practicable.
- Obey all traffic rules, including stop signs and signals.
- Downhill sections should be approached with caution.
