Step into the rugged beauty of Langleeford, nestled at the base of Hedgehope Hill and The Cheviot—the two highest peaks in the Cheviots. Northern Fell Running and Cheviot Trail Events invite you to an exhilarating challenge that will test your limits both physically and mentally.
Registration for this exclusive event opens at 7:30 AM, with a race start time set for 9:30 AM sharp. Limited spots are available for just 200 runners eager to take on the ultimate adventure.
The Pendulum Race is an 11-mile course that demands endurance and determination as you climb 3689 feet in elevation over two formidable peaks. Starting with Hedgehope Hill, the race challenges participants to reach a halfway point within three hours before tackling The Cheviot for the return journey. Completing this grueling route will leave you feeling accomplished and invigorated.
Trail shoes, waterproof gear, a whistle, hat, and gloves are essential items recommended by organizers due to unpredictable weather conditions in these remote areas.
Prizes await top male and female finishers who cross the line first through third place. All participants receive a unique finisher medal once they complete their journey across both peaks.
Beyond the race itself, enjoy professional organization with experienced marshals overseeing every mile of this well-marked course. A water station at the halfway point ensures you stay hydrated throughout your climb and descent.
