Experience the thrill of 'The Roundabouts Run' on August 9th, 2026, where runners will navigate through Aruba's vibrant landscape along a meticulously designed loop course. This second edition promises an exhilarating race that challenges participants to push their limits and secure their best running times.
Registration for this event is both age-appropriate and pace-specific, ensuring that all competitors find the perfect starting spot. The entry fee of AWG 25.00 per person can be paid directly through Caribbean Mercantile Bank N.V., with details provided upon registration confirmation.
The race begins at the former SUBWAY location in Shiribana, taking runners on a scenic journey past iconic roundabouts and bustling neighborhoods. Key landmarks include the second roundabout near Cuts & Curves (Paper Clips) and the eighth roundabout located at Tanki Leendert (Jays Wheels). The finish line awaits just steps away from the new Subway restaurant in Paradera.
With its strategic layout, 'The Roundabouts Run' offers a unique blend of urban terrain and picturesque scenery. Paradera is a town and a census region in the central-northeastern part of Aruba. The census region Paradera encompasses the town of Paradera and the settlements and neighborhoods of Ayo, Bloemond, Piedra Plat, and Shiribana. At the time of the 2010 census, Paradera proper had a population of 2,486, and the Paradera census region had a population of 12,024 inhabitants. The area is known for its natural landmarks including Hooiberg, a conical hill rising approximately 540 ft (160 m), and the Casibari–Ayo diorite boulder formations, which feature ancient Arawak rock art. Though not located on the coast, it is located close to the capital Oranjestad, and has short access to beaches along the coast.
