Dive into the heart of Shropshire with our brand-new TT50 trail ultra race set to debut in winter 2027. This challenging 50-mile journey takes runners through a tapestry of historic and scenic landscapes, from the iconic Ironbridge to the rugged heights of The Wrekin.
The course weaves past industrial heritage sites, offering glimpses into Telford's storied past while testing your endurance on varied terrain that includes hills, flats, and roads. With meticulously marked routes ensuring a seamless navigation experience, this event promises an unforgettable adventure for both seasoned ultrarunners and newcomers alike.
Four strategically placed checkpoints along the route provide essential support with food, drinks, and of course, cake—crucial fuel stops to keep you going through the day. The highlight might just be CP3’s legendary coffee, a warm treat that will undoubtedly lift your spirits during this chilly winter run.
Participants are encouraged to wear trail shoes for optimal grip on varied surfaces and should bring mandatory kit including waterproof gear, hydration systems, basic medical supplies, energy bars, and even some cash for unexpected expenses. The race starts early at 6:30 AM from the welcoming Unicorn Inn in Little Dawley, setting runners up perfectly for a day of exploration under winter skies.
As you traverse through Shropshire’s diverse landscapes, prepare to be captivated by stunning views that might include misty mornings atop The Wrekin. With well-stocked aid stations and dedicated marshals at every turn, this race is as much about community support as it is about personal challenge.
