The Worcester Ring Run 2026

The Worcester Ring Run, now celebrating its ninth year, invites runners to embark on a 23-mile journey around the picturesque landscapes of Worcester and Droitwich. For this edition, participants will gather at Gheluvelt Park next to The Pump House in Worcester for the first time ever.
Starting from the heart of Gheluvelt Park, runners follow a scenic route that hugs riverside paths before venturing onto the Droitwich Canal. Continuing through historic Droitwich, they join the picturesque Worcester & Birmingham Canal and make their way back towards Worcester via Diglis Bridge and Pitchcroft Racecourse. The majority of this loop is traffic-free, offering a serene backdrop with only minor roads to navigate.
The event welcomes both solo runners and relay teams; in the latter case, one runner covers 10 miles before handing over at Droitwich to their teammate who will complete the remaining 13 miles. Along the way, participants can expect fully signed and marshalled routes, three control points offering water, energy drinks, and snacks, as well as medical support throughout.
Upon crossing the finish line in Gheluvelt Park, all competitors receive a special finishers medal along with additional goodies. The race also features category prizes including real ale from Teme Valley Brewery, adding to the festive atmosphere of this beloved local event.
Registration opens at 08:30 on the day and closes promptly at 09:15 for those signing up in person or online beforehand. Early bird entries cost £20 per solo runner with a limit of twenty spots available; standard entry fees are set at £40 (solo) and £60 (£30 each for relay teams). With only one hundred runners permitted, early registration is recommended.
Participants must be over 17 years old and complete the race within six hours to ensure all finishers receive their official timing. Race day amenities include toilets and refreshments at both start and finish lines.
It's important to note that there are no refunds issued under any circumstances; however, entries can be transferred once to another Pulse Events event with prior notification before the scheduled date of this run.
