The racecourse features partially closed roads that have been officially measured by England Athletics, ensuring accuracy for those seeking official records. With a cut-off time set at 75 minutes at the halfway point—equivalent to an overall finish of approximately two hours fifty minutes—the event caters to athletes of varying speeds while maintaining safety standards.
Race day begins early with a fun run for children at Thirsk Racecourse, offering families a chance to enjoy a morning activity before the main race starts. Fun runners will receive chocolate and medals upon completion, adding an element of joy and excitement for young participants.
Participants can look forward to receiving T-shirts as part of their entry fee when they register by February 1st, 2027.
