Tissington Trail Marathon & Half Marathon

Immerse yourself in the beauty of Derbyshire's countryside with this unique marathon and half-marathon experience. Set for Sunday, 25 April at 09:00 from Ashbourne Leisure Centre, runners will traverse the historic Tissington Trail, a former railway line that winds through picturesque landscapes.
The route offers a challenging yet rewarding journey along a traffic-free path that stretches over 13 miles between Ashbourne and Buxton. The first half of your run takes you uphill to Parsley Hay, where rolling hills and lush greenery provide breathtaking views at every turn. As the race progresses, runners will enjoy a slight downhill return trip back towards Ashbourne Leisure Centre, making use of gravity's assistance as they near the finish line.
This event caters to both seasoned marathon veterans and newcomers alike, with stunning scenery that serves as an inspiring backdrop for your run. The Tissington Trail’s rich history adds another layer of charm, enhancing the overall experience. Expect a friendly atmosphere among fellow runners and enthusiastic spectators along the way.
Participants will receive a bespoke medal upon completion, commemorating their achievement. Additionally, free photographs capture memorable moments throughout the race, while trophies and prizes are awarded to leading finishers in both categories.
On-the-day entry fees are as follows: £50 for the marathon and £45 for the half-marathon (subject to availability). Event information will be provided to all registered entrants prior to race day.
