Welcome to the third annual TLF Trail Run, scheduled for Sunday, July 26, 2026, in the picturesque Fichtelgebirge region. This year's edition adds a special touch with the introduction of the TLF Kids Trail, designed specifically for young runners. The event kicks off early on race day as children aged up to eight years old begin their journey at 9:15 AM, followed by participants from nine to twelve years old starting just five minutes later. The kids' events are a delightful spectacle, setting an energetic tone before the adult races commence at 10:00 AM. The main race features a challenging course that stretches over ten kilometers with more than 550 meters of elevation gain. Runners will navigate through the rolling hills and scenic landscapes surrounding Bad Berneck, passing by historical landmarks such as Ölschnitz and Hohenberneck Castle before returning to the starting point at TherapieLoft Fichtelgebirge. Participants can look forward to a variety of perks including race shirts for the first 100 registrants, goodie bags upon finishing, complimentary beer in the finish area, digital certificates for all competitors, and regional soul food from local vendors. The post-race festivities include an active recovery session with ice baths and insights into the work of the local fire department. Online registration opens on March 29, 2026, with a deadline of July 19, 2026, or when the maximum number of participants (150) is reached. The race day will feature staggered starts for adult runners every five minutes to ensure smooth flow and safety. The event promises not only an exhilarating run but also a rewarding experience with local flavors and community engagement. Bad Berneck im Fichtelgebirge is a spa town in the district of Bayreuth, in Bavaria, Germany. It is situated on the White Main river, in the Fichtel Mountains, 13 km northeast of Bayreuth. It lies in the northern part of the Bavarian province of Upper Franconia. Since 1857 it has been a spa, initially based on its climate and whey products. In 1930 it became a Kneipp spa and, in 1950, a Kneipp health spa.
