Experience the excitement of the Connecticut Cycling Advancement Program's TNC Series at Rentschler Field every Tuesday night throughout June and July. The series kicks off on June 2nd with TNC #1, followed by races on June 9th, June 30th, July 7th (Junior Race Night!), July 28th (Junior Race Night! ), and concludes with the Finale on August 4th. Each Tuesday night brings a unique racing experience. "A" level races cater to professional and experienced cyclists, while "B" level races are perfect for novices and Cat 4 racers. Whether you're looking to maintain your fitness during the off-season or simply enjoy friendly competition in a fun atmosphere, there's something for everyone. Volunteers are needed to keep the event running smoothly. Volunteers can race at no cost or participate as their favorite racer’s volunteer. After fulfilling their role, volunteers will receive a refund and have an opportunity to compete alongside participants. Rentschler Field provides a safe and welcoming environment with clear instructions from CCAP coaches and staff. Junior riders under 18 are encouraged to join the practice session starting at 5:15 PM every Tuesday night. This no-pressure setting is ideal for beginners, but all youth riders aged 18 or younger can participate in training activities free of charge. The "Waz" Junior Road Race Series adds an extra layer of excitement with official results and age-appropriate medals for the top three finishers at each race. These races honor Matt Waskiewicz's memory through continued support of young talent, ensuring his spirit lives on within the cycling community. Safety is a priority; all participants must adhere to USAC rules, which include wearing helmets and avoiding tri-bikes or forward-facing bar ends. Sleeveless jerseys are not allowed. Riders can purchase an annual license for $45 or a one-day license via BikeReg for just $15.
